Compass Carpet Repair & Cleaning
If you came home and your dog has ruined your carpet because he or she tried to dig his way out of a room, you’re not alone. Your dog probably has separation anxiety. Dogs are pack animals and being left all alone just completely freaks them out.
On the other hand, if your cat ruined your carpet, it’s because she’s an evil and vindictive creature from another world. Okay, maybe I’m exaggerating because I’m just not a cat person.
If you need to have a carpet patched due to pet damage, here’s a great place start.
If your dog or cat has urinated on your carpet, the first thing we need to do is pull the carpet back and clean the floor below it. If urine has soaked all the way into the wood or concrete below, I have a special product to soak into the floor. This will completely neutralize the smell that can come from the floor.
Replacing the padding under the carpet is the next step.
While the carpet is flipped over, I soak the backing of the carpet with my special product, then reinstall the carpet and soak the rest of the area with the same product.
This should completely handle the smell but there’s no guarantee that you pet won’t soil the area again.
