Compass Carpet Repair & Cleaning
Carpet Seam Repair is not the easiest thing to do. Sometimes I’ll look at a seam and tell you that I can make it look better.
Other times, I may look at your carpet seam and admit that there’s nothing I can do.
If it’s a Berber carpet seam, it could be just the top of the carpet (nap) and not the backing. When I see your situation, I’ll likely be able to tell you why it happened, and how I’ll fix it.
You know that your carpet is delaminating if the top layers of carpet are separating from the backing. 99% of the carpet professionals out there in their own world will tell you that there’s nothing that can be done about it. Well, they don’t know me or what I can do. I’ll fix it and leave you smiling.
One note about carpet delaminating. I can fix an area or several areas but the carpet is likely to be falling apart in other places that you haven’t yet discovered. Also, my guarantee covers my labor forever, not the material. The material is loosing it and so the repair is not guaranteed to last.
Carpet seams come apart for many reasons. More often than not, they were never sealed properly in the first place. If your carpet is losing fibers and there’s already a gap in the seam, there’s probably not much sense in spending any money on it.
If the seam isn’t coming apart but just looks bad, I have several tricks up my sleeve.
