Compass Carpet Repair & Cleaning
Commercial carpet repair usually means that you have a commercial carpet. It doesn’t matter whether that carpet is in a home or an office.
The main difference between commercial carpet and residential carpet is that commercial carpet is designed to take a lot more traffic than residential carpet.
Commercial carpet normally has a shorter nap and quite often it’s glued down.
Residential carpet normally has a longer nap and it’s normally never glued down.
If you have a commercial carpet that needs carpet stretching because it’s loose and you see ripples, bulges, bumps or waves, I can do it. It doesn’t matter to me whether it’s glued down or stretched over padding.
Do you have an office or commercial building and need your carpet patched? No problem at all. If you have extra carpet left over from the original installation, I’ll use it as the donor carpet.
Sometimes a customer with two offices side by side will want to remove the wall that connects the two. This leaves a gap in the carpet that’s around 9″ wide. I patch that area just like any other.
If you don’t have any extra donor carpet laying around, fear not! I can move a filing cabinet or some other piece of furniture, or take some carpet out of a closet to use as the donor carpet, then I’ll patch it in as I normally do.
Sometimes I see a looped carpet that’s fraying. It may look pretty terrible. If that’s the case for you, I can normally fix it by cutting away the bad part and patching it.
Every now and then I get a call from a business office that has removed a wall in order to make two rooms into one. This will leave a strip of no carpet between the two rooms.
If you have extra matching carpet, we’ll use it. If not, some people feel okay about buying a small amount of carpet from a carpet store. It won’t be a perfect match but quite often, it’s close enough.
